上帝承诺等候祂的顺服的基督徒
亲爱的弟兄姊妹们，上帝是向等候祂的顺服的基督徒许下承诺，祂挑战我们，让我们给祂特权来彰显祂是这万有独一的真神，而作为回报，祂承诺会赐给我们祝福：“不要自以为有智慧，要敬畏耶和华，远离恶事，这便医治你的肚脐，滋润你的百骨。你要以财物和一切初熟的土产尊荣耶和华，这样，你的仓房必充满有余，你的酒醡有新酒盈溢。我儿，你不可轻看耶和华的管教，也不可厌烦祂的责备。因为耶和华所爱的，祂必责备，正如父亲责备所喜爱的儿子”（箴言3:7-12）
当我们服从上帝的旨意时，祂会保护我们的财产，就像祂在旧约时保护服从祂的百姓的农作物不被虫害一样。
因此，诗篇作者由衷地问道：“我拿什么报答耶和华向我所赐的一切厚恩？”（诗篇116:12）这个问题可以另翻译为：“我怎样才能偿还耶和华向我施的这一切恩慈？”
答案是：他（诗篇作者）无法偿还，也无人能还。因为在这世上，没有任何人能报答得了上帝所赐的如此丰盛无价的厚恩。

Sisters,
GOD’s promises await the obedient. HE
challenges us to give HIM the priviledge to prove HIMSELF and has promised to
bless us in return (Prov.3:7-12) --Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD,
and depart from evil. It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine
increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst
out with new wine. My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be
weary of his correction: For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a
father the son in whom he delighteth.
When we obey, HE will protect our
finances, just as HE protected HIS obedient people in the Old Testament from the
insects that otherwise would have devoured their
crops.
The Psalmist asked, “What shall I
render to the LORD for all HIS benefits toward me?” (Ps.116:12). The question
could be translated, “How can I repay the LORD for all HIS goodness toward
me?”
The answer is, he (the Psalmist )
can’t. No one can. Because nobody can outgive the
LORD.
