没有行为的信心是死的
虚浮的人哪，你愿意知道没有行为的信心是死的吗？（雅各书2:20）
亲爱的弟兄姊妹们，雅各说“虚浮的基督徒”认为，只要有信心就够了。但是，加拉太5:6告诉我们，“惟独使人产生仁爱的信心才有功效”：首先，我们“行事要与悔改的心相称”（使徒行传26:20）。“因为 神救众人的恩典已经显明出来，教训我们除去不敬虔的心和世俗的情欲，在今世自守、公义、敬虔度日，直至靠着基督，我们脱离一切罪恶（不服从上帝就是罪），得蒙祂的洁净，特作祂的子民，热心为善”（提多书2:11-12，14）。我们洁净，是要将“光照在人前，叫他们看见我们的好行为，便将荣耀归给我们在天上的父”（马太福音5:16）

2:20.

Sisters,
James addresses 'vain
Christian believers' who think that faith alone is sufficient. Gal 5:6 tells us
"faith must be demonstrated by works energized by love": first "do works
consistent with repentance - Act 26:20", then to be lead by "The grace of GOD,
teaching us to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts and how to live soberly,
righteously and godly, in this present world" until we have been by CHRIST
"redeemed us from all iniquity [lawless deeds, sin] and purified for HIMSELF a
peculiar people, zealous for good works - Titus 2: 11-12, 14" then after purity,
we are ordered to "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your
good works, and glorify your FATHER who is in heaven - Mat
5:16".
