On the Yellow River, tens of engined boats link Hukou Waterfall up on the north, with Sanmenxia Gorge down the south. Fiber cables and microwaves link the city with other cities both at home and abroad.
Hejin has prosperous economy and flourishing trade relations. Now, its energy industry, heavy industry and chemical industry have been fully establishing among which coal mining, power generating and aluminum producing take the lead. In the market, supply and demand are well balanced; In the fields crops and woods grow exuberantly and in the ponds lotus is fresh and fish plump.
A splendid future awaits Hejin ahead. A power station with a generating capacity of 2.4 million kW is under construction. The planned Wangjialing coal mine is to break the ground, with an expected annual production of 8 million tons. The boundless flood land is to be developed; the abundant raw materials wait to be processed.
