刚刚在propertyguru找到一个解释,给有同样疑问的童鞋
The 14 Days Break between the Deposit and the Exercising of OTP is for the buyer to get their loan approval. Especially for those who are on Bank Loans. Normally they will get an Approval in Principle first. Once they have gotten the OTP, they will be able to come out with a Bank Letter of OFfer (LO) for the buyer's loan. Afterwhich then the buyer can proceed to exercise the option. For this issue, it's actually more towards the buyer's benefit. As once the owner has signed on the OTP, they are not allowed to sell it to another ** or even open it for viewing. Hence if the buyer decide to back out, they might have lost some potential buyers. |
