First of all, thanks for your comments. BUT, I have the right to say what I want to say and if in anyway I have unknowingly hurt your pride as a Singaporean, I just want to say you think too much. No one says that of you and your country men, unless deep in your heart that's what you truly think or else you wouldn't be even saying something that is not what I had written in my post!  Anyway, I have to applaud you for your good usage of English but that doesn't mean you should flaunt your "standard" English just to get across your message. I am not angry or upset at all but purely reading your comments as a form of entertainment.

Btw, the whole world knows none of YOUR Asian countries consider being English-speaking country and Singapore's native language is Malay instead of English, SO, please go back to re-study your "O"s  and don't commit to same mistake again, okay? As you said, it will be more prudent to learn about another person before jumpping into a counclusion, as you also never know whom you are dealing with right now. I am not a PRC neither a Singaporean! Try to be more humble, don't ruin your own country's image, dude!

Wow, it is getting hot here! Agreed with dyh19891005, although you feel comfortable commending in English and take it as you native language, it just does not fit into the worldwide recognition. Singapore is not considered as a English native country. Sorry to say, when I moved to Sg from the US, I had a hardcore to understand what ppl saying here.
World deserve a peace. So does this forum! Let the misunderstanding cleared.:)

Singapore is a great country becos of all the development miracles she has achieved but it doesn't mean you can be over-proud of that.

I just showed what you two wrote to my friends and we all had a good laugh. I teach English to China Chinese for some years and I can tell easily if an article is written by a PRC who's trying too hard but not there yet.

I had to type in English because the computer I am using does not have any Chinese word processors installed inside. So if it disturbs you, then that's what we call inferiority complex.

Very evidently, I have here 2 PRCs masquerading as someone else. First of all, there was no flaunting. It was only your inferiority complex at work. Also, you contradict yourself in your 2 postings with the first post telling me that my English is awful, then applaud my English in the next post. If you don't understand, then don't copy. Because if you don't know how to deploy your vocabulary into the correct context, you will make a fool out of yourself. I think you need to make up your mind on what you want to say. Many of my students from China and Chinese friends who try to communicate in English with me have this problem of using wrong choice of words because they are not able to express themselves well.

By now, I don't think you dented my national pride. But I am convinced absolutely that I will be insulting my intelligence if I were to prolong my discussion with you.

Next, we have another PRC using wrong choice of words again. Check up the dictionary on the words 'hardcore' and 'commending'. And obviously it's not a typo error. I hope you didn't get laughed at while in the States. And you are wrong to say that Singapore is not a native English speaking country. It is just that we accomodate the usage of many other languages on special occassions. Our official language is still English. Road signs, legal documents, common communication platform are still conducted with English.

And if the 2 of you think that Singaporeans cannot speak and write English properly, I will advise you to reconsider your statement. Because you two obviously need to expand your social circle. Also, don't watch too much television. A lot of the programmes shown on television are merely propagandas which may not accurately reflect the truth. Get down on the ground and get to know more Singaporeans. You will realise how little you two know about this country.

Check out some of our local celebrities Like Adrian Pang, Fiona Xie, Tay Ping Hui, our ex ministers like Dr Tommy Koh, BG George Yeo, Mr Lee Kuan Yew, Mr EW Barker and many more. Tell me are they able to communicate in English? Honestly speaking, I think even a secondary 4 student educated in Singapore can easily beat the 2 of you in English communication. The two of you just try too hard but no better than epic failures.

I always tell my students from China to read more English books and listen to more English radio channels like BBC World Service.
Good luck and check up the dictionary before you two make a fool out of yourself again.

P.S. Or perhaps you two are actually one person disguising himself as two in order to have some solidarity.

楼主,可以告诉我你读什么专业,要入学考试吗?
你要上诉最好,用学校的证明信,我之前也在私立学校读,拿证明书去申请不可以,但可以上诉,很有影响力的哦

This is obviously the pot calling the kettle black. Whatever you said it does not matter. Thank you for your beautiful response. I shall stop this childish argument or whatever you will call it. Seriously it is not going anyway and it is a total waste of my time reading your super long post. If you have so much time typing such a long post and meddle over other people's comment  why not you spend some time thinking how you can be a better person. Have a great day and bye!
For your information, I am a pure Hong Kong and not a PRC

我是用中专的成绩单申请的,没参加什么考试。成绩单要拿去高院翻译下。读的是机电专业,课程只要基本的英文过关,数学还行就应该没什么问题的。
